Naimat Begum Hamdard University Hospital in line with its mission statements is providing treatment to patients at subsidized rates as well as training to its undergraduate / graduates and postgraduate medical students. Located in the heart of Nazimabad, Karachi, Naimat Begum Hamdard University Hospital (initially named as Naimat Begum Mother & Child Care Unit) started off as a 35-bed hospital focusing primarily on Gynaecology, Obstetrics and Paediatrics. Recently, the hospital was upgraded to a 250-bed full- service General Hospital. The outpatient department now boasts over 30 visiting doctors/ Hamdard University faculty who treats over several hundred patients a day. Naimat Begum Hamdard University Hospital now has the departments of Medicine, Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Neurology, Nephrology, Otorhinolaryngology (E.N.T), Paediatrics, Radiology, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, and Psychiatry with the facilities of Cath Lab, ICU, NICU, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency, Outpatient Department, Laboratory and Pharmacy services.
Hamdard Health Card
Hamdard Foundation Pakistan has introduced a medical treatment coverage policy namely “Hamdard Health Card Scheme” to the deserving individuals of the society, low income cadre/daily wager employees of Hamdard University and Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Pakistan. Free medical treatment has been provided in its 2 state of the art hospitals which are:
a. Naimat Begum, Hamdard University Hospital.
b. Taj Medical Complex, Hamdard University Hospital.
Hamdard Health Card Scheme is providing the maximum limit of Rs. 70,000/- to each beneficiary for OPD and IPD procedures within (a) and (b) hospitals, respectively.
Shifa-ul-Mulk Memorial Hospital
Unani and Allopathic Systems
This hospital provides free treatment, for the people living in the villages around Madinat al-Hikmah. Starting off as a 50-bed hospital focusing primarily on the Unani System of treatment, the hospital was recently upgraded to a 150- bed full-service General Hospital (Unani and Allopathic Systems). It also provides training facilities to the students from the Faculty of Eastern Medicine and Hamdard College of Medicine and Dentistry. The outpatient department now boasts of over 10 Doctors / Hakims to handle over 250 patients a day. The hospital has the departments of Medicine, Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Otorhinolaryngology (E.N.T), Paediatrics, Radiology, Orthopaedics, with the facilities of Emergency, Outpatient Department, Laboratory and Pharmacy services. It has both male and female General Wards.
Hamdard Free Mobile Dispensaries

Hamdard Free Mobile Dispensaries program is a flagship initiative of Hamdard Foundation Pakistan. Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said started this service in 1963 with one vehicle to provide free treatment to deserving patients in remote areas of Karachi. Hamdard Foundation Pakistan gradually expanded and enhanced this philanthropic activity and now Hamdard Free Mobile Dispensaries are treating more than 500,000 deserving patients every year in 11 major cities including Karachi, Lahore, Hyderabad, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Sargodha, Multan, Sukkur, Quetta, and Muzaffarabad. Hamdard Foundation Pakistan has a fleet of 18 equipped vehicles with Hamdard’s medicines and experienced Hakims. Hamdard Foundation Pakistan provides free consultancy and medicines through this program.

(Taj Medical Complex)Hamdard University Hospital, a 300- bedded hospital, has departments of Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Neurology, Nephrology, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Ophthalmology (EYE), Pediatrics, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Orthopedics, Orthopedics, Dermatology and Psychiatry.
The hospital has facilities of ICU, dialysis unit, lithotripsy, physiotherapy, pathological lab, neonatal ICU, diagnostic imaging, emergency, outpatient department and, Pharmacy. It also has the facility of clinical skills lab, learning resource center (LRC), pathological museum and a digital library for medical students.

Hamdard Hospital North Nazimabad
Hamdard Foundation Pakistan as part of its health sector initiatives is building a 350 bedded free General Hospital under the umbrella of Hamdard University on an Amenity Plot ST-2, North Nazimabad, Block-L, Karachi, which is a 1 acre plot initially purchased for Hamdard Dental Hospital. This will be a flagship Hamdard Project which will provide free healthcare facilities to the deserving patients of the central zone of Karachi. Architectural, structural drawings and proposed building Plans have already been approved by the SBCA and related government agencies. Construction is well underway.
