An annotated bibliography of medical manuscripts has already been published in 1988. Another bibliography of medical manuscripts is in process.
Recent Manuscripts of Writers Section
Six hundred twenty two (622) original handwritten manuscripts have been acquired from the contemporary writers and preserved in this section. All the Pakistani authors were requested to send their manuscripts for the library after their publication. On the receipt of such manuscripts they are kept safe after necessary processing, binding and decoration. The most important use of such material will be to guide the readers in a better and satisfactory manner. The original manuscripts will also be better source of judgment for the writer’s style of writing, the way of thinking, educational capacity and ability and standard of scripts. The manuscripts, which are available in the library, include hand-written material of Hakim Muhammad Said Shaheed, Maulana Syed Abul Ala Maududi, Abdul Majid Daryabadi, Dr. Abdul Salam Khurshid, Mahshar Badayuni, Rais Amrohwi, Mulla Wahidi, Wahida Nasim etc.
