| Rare and crisp books, from the collection of Bait al-Hikmah, are fumigated stage-wise. There are three fumigation chambers where books are opened and kept on the shelves, Thymol is put on the place of fumi-chambers, and is absorbed in books by being changed in varpour from the heat of bulbs. After twenty four hours of such process books are saved from bacterias for two to three years. Other anti-bacterial medicines are also applied to the books which are very much ruined. About hundred books can pass through this process daily.
